According to Worldsteel Association data, world steel production in 64 countries stood at 156.8 mt in August, down 1.4% from the same period last year. On a monthly basis there was a decline of around 3%.

EU (27) 11.6 billion (+27.1%)
Europe (others) 4.5 Mt (+11.7%)

North America 10.2 Mt (+24.4%)
South America 4.0 Mt (+17.2%)

All production data were up, except for China which, from the highs of May 2021 (99.5 Mt), fell back to 83.2 Mt in August 2021 (-16.38%).
