By analyzing the components of the trade balance relating to China’s Aluminium and articles thereof, it is possible to identify how from May imports on a cumulative basis (Import Trend) began to grow much faster than exports, with a drop in August/September and a recovery in the following months.

In December, on a monthly basis, imports increased by 37% while exports rose by 9%. On an annual basis, however, the increase was much greater, with imports up 92% while exports rose much less, by 22%.

The chart shows a recovery of quotations in May 2020, just when imports started to grow.

Certainly there is the possibility of continuing to see new rises in the future, even if settling/corrections may occur very soon.
